Positive
Adjustment Locking System
The P.A.L.'s are two small proprietary metal disks
which go into the set screw hole of your release
to keep the set screw from bearing directly on
the cam. So simple but so effective. Most people
think it is the set screw denting the cam which
causes the cam to move when tightening. The cams
are 60 Rockwell and can never be marred by the
softer steel set screw. The set screw itself does
distort however, which is the cause of the problem.
By using the P.A.L.'s the set screw no longer
touches the cam so any rotation will be minimized.
In some releases you may have to thread the hole
deeper or make other modifications but they should
work in most cases. The design of the Zenith Backfire
will not allow for the use of the P.A.L.'s
and no changes will be made to update it.
There are (4) disks per pack, enough for two releases
and they sell for $5 per pack, shipping included.
Send $5 cash for each pack, along with your return
address and I'll get them right out for you. If
you can't get US dollars or don't trust mailing
cash, use Pay Pal and send to joe@zenitharchery.com
but make it $6 in that case.
Please, no phone or credit
card orders if ordering PAL's only. Thanks.
